About Us

Magan M. Mishio founded MMM'Shrooms after years of education and passionate research into the magic of mycology (the study of fungi). She has a B.S. in Psychology but is a mycologist at heart. Educating high school students in Biology and Life Science for nearly ten years, she has grown her passion for mushrooms and fungi—earning multiple certificates in mycology. She is also a proud member of the Maine Mycological Association.

MMM'Shrooms is a Maine-based, family owned and operated small business. Our goal is to give back to the local communities of Maine that make this dream possible.

Why 'Shrooms?

Mushrooms are a symbol for change and growth. Our mission is simple, we hope to change what you think you know about these superfoods and grow your curiosity for the world of fungi! We produce locally grown specialty 'Shrooms and 'Shroom products for the Central Maine area and surrounding communities. We grow the finest of 'Shrooms in a controlled environment with great attention to detail.

For centuries, folklore around the globe has associated mushrooms with the supernatural or magical realm. From fairy circles and deadly ingredients used in witchcraft to the hallucinogenic properties utilized in spirit quests, mushrooms have appeared in lore since the beginning of storytelling. Our ancestors weren't wrong; mushrooms are magical. Mushrooms provide an umami flavor that has no rival in nature and although not approved by the FDA for medicinal use, they are being researched and used worldwide for their possible medicinal properties.
