Magan M. Mishio is the grower and curious mind behind MMM’Shrooms. What started as a fascination with fungi quickly turned into years of study, hands-on growing, and a whole lot of trial, error, and dirty hands. With a B.S. in Psychology and nearly a decade of experience teaching high school Biology and Life Sciences, she brings both scientific knowledge and a passion for sharing it.
She’s always been driven by one thing, helping people understand the world a little differently. These days, that world revolves around mushrooms. Though trained in many fields, she’s a mycologist at heart, continuing her education through specialized certifications and as a proud member of the Maine Mycological Association.
MMM’Shrooms is a family-owned and operated mushroom farm based in Maine. Rooted in community and sustainability, the mission is simple: grow high-quality gourmet mushrooms while helping others discover just how powerful and versatile fungi can be. From the grow room to the table, everything is cultivated with care, curiosity, and a commitment to supporting the local communities that make it all possible.
Thank you for your support of our local business!
Mushrooms have long been a symbol of growth and transformation, and that spirit is at the heart of everything we do. Our mission is simple: to challenge what you think you know about these incredible superfoods and spark curiosity about the world of fungi.
At MMM’Shrooms, we proudly grow premium, locally cultivated, specialty mushrooms and handcrafted mushroom products for Central Maine and beyond. Every harvest is produced in a carefully controlled environment, dialed in for quality, consistency, and bold, fresh flavor; because great mushrooms don’t happen by accident.
For centuries, ‘shrooms have lived in the space between myth and mystery. Fairy circles, witchy brews, spirit journeys; fungi have always had a reputation for being a little… magical.
And honestly? They kind of are.
Beyond the folklore, ‘shrooms bring something real to the table; a deep, savory umami flavor that nothing else in nature quite matches. And while they’re not FDA-approved for medicinal use, mushrooms are gaining serious attention worldwide for their potential health benefits.
Turns out, our ancestors might’ve been onto something.
